While it’s important to seek your veterinarian’s advice about a lot of things, diet may not be one of them… Why you ask? Well, let’s talk about it!🩺🐶🍽️
🐾
Unfortunately, most veterinarians don’t receive nutrition education, this is usually an additional course that they have to seek out, and the courses that are offered to veterinarians are usually taught by commercial dog food companies! Like Hills Science Diet! Omg - RIGHT! 👎
🐾
I have personally read the textbooks that veterinarians are given, and it explicitly advocates against home cooking, telling vets to dissuade clients, and that most pet owners are not capable of maintaining or creating a balanced diet, which I do have to agree with to an extent! (I know you didn’t expect me to agree with them on that!) 😯
🐾
The issue is that most pet owners seek out advice from Facebook users and create their own recipes, that are lacking in essential nutrients and completely off balance. ☠️
🐾
Most veterinarians are recommending a website called BalanceIT, seems like a good option, right? ❌ WRONG… While it does technically balance the required nutrient profiles… It lacks in a holistically balanced diet. Overall, it will give you singular protein and vegetable sources, refined oils, and their vitamin mix which is all synthetic. 🛑
🐾
This sample recipe is full of issues. From farm raised problematic Tilapia, corn (which isn’t good for anyone), canola oil (trans fat), and table salt! 😱 That’s a lot of toxins to add to your dog’s bowl… Using balance it is basically like giving your dog the nutrient quotient of kibble, but you just had to work really hard to cook it! 🌽🚫
🐾
You also want a mineral supplement that is derived all natural sources, so it’s easy to absorb and doesn’t go in one end and out the other! 🫐🥕🥚

My recipe is balanced for all life stages and AVAILABLE FOR FREE on my website and my App! You can also find my Cooking Class in my App for Ulitimate Dog Diva Subscribers. 🙌
