A pup cup is 100% whipped cream… That is heavy cream and sugar. 🚫Cows milk is notoriously hard for dogs to digest and sugar is never recommended, because it feeds cancer! ☠️ And let’s remember that dogs don’t need any sweeteners to enjoy their food! They prefer savory things and only have 1/6 the tastebuds that humans have. Most of the time it’s not about what’s in the cup. It’s getting to share something exciting with you! So let’s talk about alternatives. 📋

Starbucks isn’t alone, most establishments will offer their dog customers a freebie whipped cream. Without understanding that it’s detrimental to your dogs health‼️ Looking at the nutritional label, you will find each pup cup not only has lactose that your dog stomach cannot digest, it contains 4 g of sugar and zero fiber! 👎

Most establishments are carrying alternative milks, so just inquire which brands they carry and do a quick Google search on the nutrient label before you decide to serve it to your dog! 🤳

Oat milk has a healthier fat profile than whole milk too. Oat milk also doesn’t contain any cholesterol, while whole milk has 24 milligrams per cup! I will say that there are better oat milks on the market than Oatley (I prefer one without oil or additives).
